May 28, 2022 - Functional Check Flight, Cambridge |
||||||
After being down over a month for the annual and some other things, the RV-7 is all put together and looking good. It's time to do the functional check flight, as we used to call it in Naval Aviation. It was a beautiful spring day for it. The visibility was phenominal.
After the FCF, I landed back at Essex Skypark and looked the plane over. Everything was jake. Later, Chuck B. and I flew over to Cambridge for lunch. Three Mooneys were on the ramp; must have been having a mini-convention at Katies.

Flying home with Chuck.

Chuck with Easton Airport in the background. Easton looks close thanks to the great visibility; in reality, we are outside of Easton's Class D airspace.
We did some funfly before heading back to Essex Skypark, but this is the only picture I have.
Passing by Hart-Miller island. You know the good weather has arrived when you see lots of boats on the islands west side.
